What is EJ?

Environmental Justice (EJ) is the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies.

 

Who is targeted?

Low income areas, Minority groups, Elderly, Hispanic communities and citizens that do not voice their opinion

 

Where is EJ visible?

Environmental Justice originated in the United States with the development of the American Civil Rights movement of the 1960s. In Just two decades EJ was visible around the world.

 

How can I make a difference in my town/city?

Register to vote. If you are a registered voter and attend town meetings, The Politicians will listen to you and take your thoughts into consideration.

 

How will the politicians know if you are registered or not?

Make it known that you are a registered voter and that you want to have access to clean water, clean air, good health clinics, safe roads in the winter, whatever you feel is not right. It is your community make the change you want to see.
